The process of making creme' honey is arduous and few, beekeeper led apiaries remain producing a high quality and traditional creme' honey product like ours!
We start with our very own Star Thistle Honey from our own hives. The honey is heated to about 130, we then introduce finely ground crystallized honey and gently stir. The small artisan batches are hand monitored, temperature and humidity controlled (secret numbers) while it balances out through slow mixing, the organic lemons are added, and we bottle the jars. Then continuing in the controlled environment for 30 days before it "sets-up" to the smooth, rich and delicious treat that is Sleeping Bear Farms Lemon Creme' Honey.
Each batch is closely inspected to insure the smoothest texture possible!
